Affies App
The Afrikaans Hoër Seunskool (Affies) app simplifies the lives of students and parents alike. It provides students with their class schedules, the school’s sports calendar, and updates on upcoming events and news.
Parents can easily stay informed about school activities and important notices. Additionally, the app features a digital wallet for students to make payments and receive coupons, adding convenience to their school experience.
BRIEF:
Develop an app catering to both students and parents, providing them with essential updates and information to keep up with the busy school schedule. The app should offer intuitive navigation and convenience, aiming to simplify their lives amidst the school’s bustling activities.
Challenge
The challenge would be to seamlessly integrate various features, such as class schedules, sports calendars, news updates, and digital payments, into a user-friendly interface that meets the needs of both students and parents, while ensuring accessibility and ease of navigation.
Solution
In the end, I designed the app to meet the client’s needs, adhering to their CI guide to ensure a consistent look and feel with their other platforms. I employed a minimalistic design to present the necessary information as simply as possible. Ultimately, the app was tailored to fulfill the client’s requirements, prioritising their needs over the designer’s preferences.
